Figure out who’s hiding in the shadows

Jack & Detectives is a strategy game. It’s a PVP twist on the social deduction genre. Players must identify Jack the Ripper among them without the usual verbal communication these games rely on. Players are divided into two teams: Jack the Ripper and the detectives. Jack must murder while avoiding detection, while the detectives must piece together clues and vote for who they believe Jack is.

What sets Jack & Detectives apart is the silence — no talking is allowed during gameplay. Players must rely on observing the actions of others to make their deductions.

Silence is key

In Jack & Detectives, it also eliminates player elimination, allowing everyone to stay in the game until the end, making it more inclusive and less frustrating for those who are voted out early in similar games. With each game lasting only about 10 minutes, it provides quick rounds of intense strategic thinking. It also introduces a third role, the maniac, who sides with Jack and wins if Jack wins.

This adds another layer of intrigue, as players must figure out not only who Jack is, but also who might be working against them. The game culminates in a voting phase where everyone must decide who they think Jack is, leading to a tense conclusion each round. With online play and customizable rules for private matches, the game offers flexibility and variety as well.

This allows players to enjoy quick and strategic detection games with friends or global challengers. However, a lack of verbal interaction may not appeal to fans of traditional social deduction games. The silent nature of the game can limit social engagement between players. Some players may find the mechanics too simplistic, and the absence of a deeper narrative or character development may limit appeal for some.

No talking, no elimination

Jack & Detectives is tense, strategic, and refreshingly different from other social deduction games. The absence of talking forces players to pay attention to actions and behavior, creating a deeper level of strategy. Each round is fast-paced, and the quick voting phase ensures no one is left out for long. The addition of the maniac role adds complexity, keeping players on their toes.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
